Vaccinations
Vaccinations
Core vaccinations protect against diseases that are still circulating and still kill. Lifestyle vaccinations depend on where your pet goes and who they meet.

Who this is for
Every puppy and kitten starting their first course, and every adult dog and cat keeping cover current. If you’ve lapsed, it is almost never too late: come in and we’ll work out where to restart.
What’s involved
Vaccination always follows a health check, because we will not vaccinate an animal that isn’t well. Core vaccinations are recommended for every pet. Lifestyle vaccinations are recommended based on what your animal actually does: kennels, catteries, swimming, farmland, hunting, contact with other animals.
What happens on the day
A brief examination first, then the vaccination itself, which takes seconds. We record everything and give you a card or a digital record with the next due date on it.
How to prepare
Bring any previous vaccination records, especially if you’re new to us or the animal came from a rescue or a breeder. If they’re unwell on the day, call and move the appointment rather than bringing them in.
Afterwards
Mild tiredness and a slightly sore spot at the injection site for a day is normal and common. What is not normal is facial swelling, vomiting, or difficulty breathing in the hours afterwards. If you see any of that, call us straight away.
Cost
Vaccination is charged per course and varies by species and which vaccinations are needed. Ask reception for a current price when you book: we’ll give you the whole figure, not a starting-from one.
Book this appointment
Request a time in about two minutes. We confirm by phone within one working day.
