Urgent care
Urgent care
We hold same-day slots open every day for animals that can’t wait. During opening hours, call us: don’t book online, because a phone call gets triaged immediately.
Same day during opening hours
Call us now if you’re seeing
Difficulty breathing, or breathing with an open mouth in a cat
Repeated attempts to vomit or urinate without producing anything
Collapse, seizure, or sudden inability to stand
A swollen, hard or painful abdomen
Bleeding that doesn’t stop with gentle pressure
Suspected ingestion of anything toxic, including human medication, chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol, antifreeze or rodent bait
A road traffic accident, even if they seem fine afterwards
Sudden distress in a rabbit, or a rabbit that has stopped eating
Do not wait to see if it improves, and do not attempt to treat it at home. Call (555) 018-4400 during opening hours, or [emergency hospital name] on [number] at any time. Describe what you’re seeing and we’ll tell you what to do next.
When we’re closed
Juniper is open Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Outside those hours our clients are covered by [emergency hospital name] at [address], open 24 hours on [number]. They have our records access arrangement in place, so they’ll know your pet’s history.
[Replace this section with your own out-of-hours arrangement before publishing.]
What to bring
Whatever they got into, if you have it: packaging, the plant, the remains of the chew. A photo of what you’re worried about if it’s intermittent. Your pet’s medication list. Someone else to drive if you can, because you shouldn’t be doing both.
What it costs
Urgent appointments are charged at our standard consultation rate during opening hours. Diagnostics and treatment are quoted as we go, and we will always tell you the number before proceeding, including when the honest answer is that the next step is expensive.
Book this appointment
Request a time in about two minutes. We confirm by phone within one working day.

Breathing difficulty, collapse, repeated retching, suspected poisoning or a road accident: call (555) 018-4400 now rather than filling anything in.
